Carrol Ching is the Senior Associate at Fishwick & Associates, PLC with a focus upon civil litigation, including medical malpractice and personal injury, as well as criminal defense matters in federal court. Her career in the law follows a decade long career as an Accountant, including as a certified public accountant with Deloitte and in financial accounting with a Fortune 200 company.

Carrol is committed to doing justice and enjoys bringing clarity to complex situations and guiding her clients as they navigate the litigation process in the midst of their recovery from often serious injuries.

A Virginia native, Carrol is originally from the Richmond area but was drawn to the Blue Ridge mountains and has been a happy resident of Southwest Virginia since graduating from the Washington and Lee University School of Law in 2004. In law school, she attained the Order of the Coif and was the recipient of the John W. Davis prize for law for achieving the highest grade point average in her law school class. She also welcomed the first of her two sons while a law student.

Following graduation, Carrol clerked for the Honorable Glen E. Conrad, United States District Judge for the Western District of Virginia as both a term and career law clerk. Prior to her current position, she worked as an Associate Attorney with LichtensteinFishwick, PLC and Lichtenstein Law Group, PLC. Carrol has successfully resolved personal injury, medical malpractice, wrongful death, civil rights, and commercial law cases and focuses on problem solving in serving clients as they face difficult and life-changing experiences. She has also represented a client for vaccine related injuries before the United States Court of Federal Claims.

Outside the practice of law, Carrol enjoys the beauty of the area, including hiking and kayaking with her family. She is also an avid reader and gardener and grows a variety of vegetables along with taking care of a menagerie including a flock of unruly chickens, three cats, a rescue dog, and tropical fish.
